A Global Leader, A Spiritual Guide: Farewell His Holiness Pope Francis

On behalf of the entire Secretariat, we extend our profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the Holy See and the universal Church upon the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis. With his departure, the Church has lost a truly compassionate and visionary leader, who dedicated his life to serving the people of God with humility, love, and unwavering faith.

Pope Francis' papacy was marked by a deep commitment to the Gospel message, guiding us all toward a more merciful, just, and inclusive world. His courage in addressing the most pressing issues of our time—from poverty and social injustice to the care of creation—has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who followed his leadership.

As we reflect on his extraordinary legacy, we take comfort in the knowledge that his work was rooted in a profound love for Christ and his people. May his example continue to inspire us all to live the Gospel with greater fidelity, compassion, and hope.

We offer our prayers for the eternal repose of Pope Francis' soul, asking that God grant him peace and eternal light. May the Holy Spirit guide the Church in this time of mourning and in the years ahead, as we continue the mission that Pope Francis so faithfully entrusted to us all.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.
