Rt. Rev. Charles Martin Wamika has today (24th Nov 2019) celebrated his Priesthood Ruby (40 yrs as a Priest) and Episcopal Silver Jubilee (25yrs as a Bishop).

“As I give thanks to God for the gift of Priesthood for 40 years and Episcopate for 35 years, I would like to be grateful to God who has given me the graces to serve for all the years and I ask for more blessings to continue serving Him among His people in the Diocese of Jinja. May the Spirit of the Lord rest upon all of us as you join in this celebration.”
During the ceremony which was combined with the celebrations of the Diocesan Family Day, the Bishop commissioned the Council for the Children, and also launched a year of awareness for the Elderly as a way of sensitizing the Christians to be more receptive and supportive to the Elderly in our Parishes, Institutions ad Communities.

He has also unveiled the theme which will guide the Diocese for the year: “Church: Appreciate, Listen and Respect the Elderly”.

May we remain united in the Love of God.”
